A Vision to Advance

It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are in life—we all need a VISION TO ADVANCE. To advance means “to move forward in a purposeful way.” In other words, it’s about making purposeful progress. And that, my friend, is God’s will for you and for me.

Your vision to advance must come from within you and flow through you. You’ve got to see yourself moving forward with precision and power. You need a strategy—a game plan—that carries you into your next. Here are a few action steps to help you develop that vision:

1. Imagine your life the way you want it to be.

Your imagination is powerful. It will take you places you could never reach on your own. When the people of the earth were building the Tower of Babel, God said, “…and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they HAVE IMAGINED TO DO”(Genesis 11:6, KJV). That’s divine permission to dream big—and go after what God has put in your heart.

2. Dedicate time to your advancement.

Time is your most valuable asset. Don’t waste it—invest it. Invest in your growth, and you’ll begin to move forward at an accelerated pace.

3. Understand your role in the world.

You have a role to play on this earth. I call it destiny—the unique purpose God had in mind for you before you were born. To fulfill that purpose, you need a clear vision of the world and your place in it. Take time to reflect, think, and consider what you are truly meant to do.

4. Never give up.

You’ve probably heard the famous quote from Coach Vince Lombardi: “Winners never quit, and quitters never win.” Let that become your life motto. Make a decision right now to be unyielding in your pursuit of your vision.
