Safe in His Love

One of the scriptures that has been a game changer for me this year is Psalm 91:14–16. It says:

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”

This passage teaches us that God doesn’t just help those who love Him—He delivers, honors, promotes, satisfies, and answers them. In addition, He gives long life and reveals His salvation to those who set their affection fully on Him.

When the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to this promise, something shifted in me. My faith grew, especially in the areas of divine healing and long life. My prayer is that this scripture will do the same for you today. You don’t have to live in fear of sickness, disease, or premature death. God’s Word gives us confidence: we are safe in His love.

This scripture isn’t just about divine healing or long life—it applies to any trouble you may be facing. Let me share my own personal story with you:

About 13-14 years ago, I found myself in legal trouble with the federal government. In that moment, it would’ve been easy to put all my hope in my lawyer—but instead, I turned wholeheartedly to Jesus. Not only that, I reached out to Pastor Maurice and several members of our church to pray. 

The result? No jail time. My record was sealed. And the $20,000 in restitution I owed was reduced to zero.

Why did this happen? Because I set my love upon Him. I trusted Him completely—and He came through. If He did it for me, He will do it for you. Whatever you're facing, no matter how hopeless it may seem, God’s promise still stands. Let’s read that verse again and put your name in it, “Because (first name) has set their love upon Me, I will deliver them.”
