God’s Goodness Changes Everything
One thought can change your day.
One revelation can change your future.
One glimpse of God’s goodness can change your entire outlook on life.
We’re six months into 2026, and one thing remains true: God is good!
Nothing else matters if our Father’s goodness is not on the forefront of our minds. In a world that constantly tries to pull our attention toward what’s wrong, we must intentionally focus on what’s right—our Father’s goodness.
The people who stay strong, hopeful, joyful, and full of faith are usually the people who never lose sight of how good God has been to them.
David was one of those people.
He went through a lot in life. He served as Israel’s military hero, king, prophet, and psalmist. He carried enormous responsibility. He experienced great victories and even painful setbacks. Yet through it all, his MAIN FOCUS was the goodness of God.
Look at what he said:
“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” — Psalm 27:13
Think about that.
David said he would have lost heart had he not believed in God’s goodness.
God’s Goodness Keeps You From Crashing
God’s goodness anchored David’s soul. It kept him from crashing.
Many people today are crashing mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually because they have allowed the wrong things to dominate their thinking. They are magnifying the problem instead of magnifying God. They are rehearsing bad news instead of remembering God’s goodness.
But that won’t be your story!
You’re going to keep your eyes on the goodness of God. You’re going to think about it, talk about it, expect it, and celebrate it.
Why?
Because whatever fills your vision will eventually shape your life.
God’s goodness cannot be secondary in your mind—it must be PRIMARY!
There Is More Goodness Ahead
Look at something else David said:
“Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men!” — Psalm 31:19
Notice David didn’t say God’s goodness was small.
He said it was GREAT!
The goodness of God is HUGE! It covers every aspect and every season of your life. There is never a moment when God’s goodness is unavailable to you. It is always present. Always working. Always flowing.
There is goodness for your family.
Goodness for your finances.
Goodness for your health.
Goodness for your future.
Goodness for your ministry.
Goodness for your calling.
So believe it. Expect it. Use it!
Father, Show Me Your Goodness
Just as our Father was good to King David and the people of Israel, He is good to you.
One of the things I’ve been saying lately in prayer is:
“Father, show me Your goodness.”
And He has!
Just recently, I woke up to a $400 financial blessing. Glory to God!
One of our pastors just received a new job in his field at Yale University with double the salary—and he still gets to work from home!
God is doing good things!
And I know many of you have stories too. In fact, I believe some of you are on the verge of remarkable breakthroughs and testimonies that will leave you amazed at the goodness of God.
Something Good Is Happening
This past Sunday, one person gave their life to Christ and six people were baptized in the Holy Spirit!
What a blessing. What a reminder that God is moving in our church family.
I look forward to seeing you this Sunday as we continue to experience God’s presence and hear God’s Word together.
Come expecting.
Come ready.
Come believing.
I’m expecting something good to happen to you.
In fact, I believe the goodness of God is already working behind the scenes on your behalf.
Your best days are not behind you—they are still ahead of you.
