Indulge & Unwind

I have GREAT news for you—news that will bless your soul! Jesus wants you to INDULGE and UNWIND! It might feel unusual to picture Jesus this way, but it’s absolutely true. Jesus is PRO-PLEASURE! He created you to enjoy this material world and everything good it has to offer. He created you to live in rest, fullness, and TOTAL PEACE. Anything less than that is beneath His will for your life.

Just look at the feeding of the five thousand and the feeding of the four thousand. In both miraculous moments, Scripture says the people ate “as much as they wanted” (John 6:11). That’s indulgence! And notice—they were sitting in a place with “much grass” (John 6:10). That’s the unwinding part. Then Jesus does it again with the four thousand. And the Bible says, “let every word be established by two or three witnesses.” Well, here are TWO witnesses—firmly establishing Jesus’ desire for us to indulge and unwind in Him.

So go ahead and ENJOY YOUR LIFE! We’ve entered the Holiday season. Don’t carry stress, pressure, or heaviness. Declare that this will be your best Holiday season yet. Declare a joyful Thanksgiving and a peaceful, blessed Christmas. Do some fun things. Buy what you can afford. Trust God to provide and LIVE your best life now!
